START WITH THE RIGHT PROGRAM

Your address and policy determine your options.

A North Carolina address alone does not make a home eligible. These are two separate NCIUA programs, with different territories and grant limits.

STRENGTHEN YOUR ROOF

Up to $10,000

For eligible NCIUA policyholders in qualifying beach territories, including parts of the barrier islands and areas east of the Intracoastal Waterway.

See official beach program rules ↗

STRENGTHEN YOUR COASTAL ROOF

Up to $6,000

For eligible NCIUA policyholders in qualifying coastal territories. The program includes portions of Brunswick and New Hanover counties.

See official coastal program rules ↗

Grant limits are maximums, not guaranteed awards. NCIUA and the program’s reviewers make eligibility decisions. Linta Roofing is an independent contractor and does not award grants.

BEFORE YOU START

Check the requirements.
Then plan the roof.

The first useful step is understanding which program, if any, applies to your home. You do not need to know all the answers before talking with us.

Ask Linta for help →
  • A qualifying NCIUA policy
Your insurance policy must meet the selected program’s rules.
  • An eligible property and territory
The exact address matters. A nearby eligible home does not establish your eligibility.
  • A qualifying roof replacement
The completed roof must earn an IBHS FORTIFIED designation.
  • Approval before construction
Follow the program’s approval and evaluator process before starting work.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Know what to expect.

Is this a free roof?

No. A grant may offset part of a qualifying roof replacement. You are responsible for the roofing contract and costs that are not covered by the grant.

Does everyone get $10,000?

No. The beach program offers up to $10,000; the coastal program offers up to $6,000. Your policy, exact property location, roof, approval and available funding determine whether you can participate.

Can I start work before my grant is approved?

Follow the official approval process first and coordinate with the evaluator before construction. Starting work early can prevent the required documentation and jeopardize eligibility.

When are grant funds paid?

Payment follows completion of the required roof designation and submission of the program’s required documents. A grant inquiry is not an upfront discount or a guarantee of payment.

Is Linta Roofing the grant administrator?

No. Linta Roofing is an independent roofing contractor. NCIUA administers these programs, and program reviewers make the final decisions.

What happens if grant funding runs out?

The programs reserve their grant funds on a first-come, first-served basis. Once available funding is fully committed, another award depends on additional funding becoming available. Do not assume funds will still be available later. Confirm current availability and the steps to reserve funds directly with the official program. Submitting this Linta inquiry does not reserve funds or secure a place in the program.
